Terms of Service

UserAlertX is a service of Xpandable Technology Lab LLC ("we," "us"). These terms govern your use of UserAlertX (useralertx.com). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

What UserAlertX does

UserAlertX sends a text message or email to one phone number or email address that you personally verify — the one you sign up with. It is built for personal alerts and for AI agents/automations that need a way to reach you. It cannot be used to message anyone other than the account holder's own verified number/address. UserAlertX is not a marketing, advertising, or bulk-messaging platform, and it is not for spam. There is no directory, no purchased or shared contact lists, and no way to message anyone other than your own verified recipient.

Your account

• You must provide a real email address (and, if you use SMS delivery, a real phone number) that you own or are authorized to use.
• You're responsible for keeping your API key confidential. Anyone with it can send alerts through your account.
• If you generate a Personal Alert Link, you're responsible for keeping it confidential too - anyone with it can trigger an alert to you (it cannot read your account or send to anyone else). You can regenerate it at any time from your account screen.
• One phone number and one email may only ever be bound to your own account, not someone else's, without their consent.

Text messaging

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Message frequency varies — it's driven entirely by when you or your connected bot/program sends an alert, not a fixed schedule.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Carrier-restricted content. Phone carriers don't allow certain topics in text messages, even when you send an alert to yourself: stocks, trading and investment tips, cryptocurrency, loans and debt relief, cannabis, tobacco and alcohol, firearms, gambling, and adult content. Before any alert is sent by text, UserAlertX checks it; an alert that includes carrier-restricted content (a "carrier-restricted alert") is sent to you by email only, and your phone receives a short notice instead. This isn't a penalty and nothing is lost - the email has the complete alert. The check is automatic and may occasionally treat an ordinary alert as carrier-restricted. See the FAQ.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use UserAlertX to send unlawful, harassing, or abusive content, to attempt to message anyone other than your own verified recipient, or to interfere with the service's normal operation (including automated abuse of signup or send endpoints). UserAlertX may not be used for marketing, advertising, promotional messaging, or spam of any kind — it is strictly for personal, event-driven alerts to your own verified number or address. Accounts found sending marketing or spam content will be suspended.

UserSummaryX summaries

UserSummaryX (a UserToolX tool) is off until you turn it on for your account. Summaries are emailed only to your account's own address. You send us links to content you're allowed to access; we fetch it only to create your summary, don't store or republish it, and keep only the summary (30 days). You're responsible for complying with the terms of the sites you link to. Summaries are made by AI and may be incomplete or wrong; check the original for anything important. A summary costs 2 tokens, plus 1 token per started 5 minutes for a video with no captions (you're shown the price first); tokens are charged only when the summary is emailed.

Free tier and billing

New accounts include a free trial: 50 free alerts (texts or emails) or 30 days after the account is confirmed, whichever comes first. Beyond that, continued use requires a plan: the monthly plan ($5/month) or the annual plan ($60, paid once, for 13 months; it does not renew automatically - we email you before it ends). Each plan includes 50 tokens per month. Alerts use tokens: a text message is 1 token, an email is 0.1 token, and a carrier-restricted alert (delivered by email, with a short notice by text) is 1 token. Included tokens are used first and expire at the end of each plan month; they have no cash value and aren't refundable. Extra tokens can be bought on top of a plan (currently $5 for 150, $10 for 300, $25 for 850 or $50 for 1,800 tokens) and don't expire. Tokens you've already bought always keep their value, even if token pricing changes. Pricing is shown before you're charged; we do not charge without your action to choose a plan or buy tokens.

Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your account screen or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; sending keeps working until the end of the month already paid for, which isn't refunded. Any balance stays on your account and can be used again whenever you have a plan. For the annual plan, whole months that haven't started yet are refunded on request at $4.62 each ($60 divided by 13); the month in progress isn't. Unused extra tokens are refunded on request at the average price you paid for them - email [email protected] from the address on your account. If you're charged in error, contact us and we'll refund it.

Termination

You may stop using UserAlertX and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or are used for unlawful activity.

Disclaimer

UserAlertX is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery — carrier networks, email providers, and third-party services (including Stripe and Twilio) are outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
